GRACE
Delicately, as on the hem
pale-worded yet a form of triumph
barely palpable
endeavour endearment
not quite alone:
if one could say
ghost denoting a kind of presence promise in
could call it discretion
where truly she she
in vestige
motley-spliced
array of nuance the fine congregation
passivity as grace or would that be tact
the fine endeavour endearment
delicately
she who was
yet--
DIVINING FOR STARTERS (85)
deepening blue the garden
song of self gone quiet
trees’ darkening silhouettes
indistinct with fatigue
mistle thrush? robin?
I want to know the names
the cold, cold glass between
a kind of fall
with the withdrawal of light
away from but not into
the bird become silent
DIVINING FOR STARTERS (86)
under wine and overdrawn
the outer world gone black
time to apologize to the
aloof in the silence
as if to say chosen
mouth open and wordless
UNTITLED
talk to the song
succulent grip
and the I inchoate
traipse
those brimming pupils
all along
slink here
body-fraught ‘s one form of gravity
rehearsing self
to yourself and or just
forcing an exclamation point
let the song, any beloved song
easy once you’ve
over and above fixity slink through
the pool or pooling
seconds without thought
the ease of between
to plumb while standing still
