RELATIVE CAUSES

the play of light
over the shutters

uncertain lips

about Saltwoman:
vengeance of tunnels
hands on her swamp of aches
nostrils quivering

it's the inside of her legs
like the posture of
and the hem of a skirt
to take hold
of the available knee

her belly:
leaning toward evening

when you scraped her hand
did you hear how
her fingers cracked?

her elbows indifferent
to manners

they only bring out
(in her practical body)
an image of fleeing dimensions                                                                                    next poem >
